    • Hayley Mauro was excellent. She was incredibly helpful from our initial call, explaining everything so clearly and taking the time to answer our questions and outlining our options to try and resolve our legal problem. Hayley undertook all the pre-action protocol correspondence on our matter and her well-crafted legal arguments formed the basis of our subsequent civil court claim which we won. We were so grateful for her in-depth knowledge of the law and her expertise which was clear in her work. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hayley.

    • We approached Hayley for advice after setting up our own company aimed at enabling leaders to explore, achieve and sustain high performance. Both my business partner and I had both worked for the same company prior to this and had contracts with restrictive covenants in.  Although our new company would not be in direct competition with our previous employer, we wanted to ensure that we weren’t doing anything that would be in breach of our contracts.

The restrictions in our contracts were very broad and covered a 12-month period. Hayley explained the purpose of restrictive covenants and gave examples of those that have been upheld and those that have not.  She clearly explained the process and the implications if our ex-employer felt we had breached any clauses – for both us, and, just as importantly, for our previous employer.

The advice Hayley gave enabled us to make informed decisions about how we would promote our services, what we would do if any of our ex-employer’s clients approached us and the time frame we would apply to these choices.  Thanks to the information provided by Hayley we felt confident in the decisions we made, taking what we consider a risk preferred approach that was best our Company whilst also ensuring that we maintained our integrity, which was hugely important to us.
