Money Talk week 8- 12th November 2021 – Let’s Talk Money!

Talk Money week takes place from 8- 12th November 2021. The purpose of Talk Money week is to encourage people to talk about their finances and research has shown that people who talk about their money are more likely to make better financial decisions.

The pandemic has disrupted social interaction and caused financial difficulties for many, meaning less people are talking about their finances. Here at Wilson Browne, we would like to encourage you to Talk Money.

There are some ways we may be able to assist you to talk about your finances this Talk Money Week:

Lasting Power of Attorney

You may wish to plan for your future and appoint an Attorney to manage your finances if and when you are no longer able to or no longer wish to. You can give your Attorney instructions or discuss your wishes with them now so they are able to fulfil these if they need to act in the future.

Managing financial affairs

Advice to an Attorney

If you are an Attorney acting on behalf of a family member or friend and need assistance in making sure you are acting in their best interests when making decisions about their property and financial affairs.

You may be worried about the finances of someone close to you who has lost capacity to manage their own money. You may need to make an application to the Court of Protection to be appointed as their Deputy to manage their finances on their behalf if they have not made a Lasting Power of Attorney.
