Land Registry updates Practice Guide 40s2: Preparing plans for HM Land Registry applications

Reasons to choose Wilson Browne

The Land Registry has updated Land Registry Practice Guide 40s2

Preparing plans for HM Land Registry applications by amending section 9 to state that, when a plan forms part of the land in a registered title, it must be signed by the disponer or the applicant, to comply with rule 213 of the Land Registration Rules 2003.

The Land Registry have provided further guidance stating that it will accept plans signed by a conveyancer on behalf of the disponer or the applicant, so as long as the signature is endorsed to that effect.
