The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government has now announced the thirty towns in England which will share over £700 million to boost their local economies, create jobs and help them build back better from the pandemic.
Corby has been awarded £19.9m as part of the programme, which is intended to boost local economies, create jobs and new homes, and improve skills, and transform public spaces, deliver green transport links and revamp cultural and tourist attractions.
Wilson Browne has had close links with the Corby community for many years, representing businesses and individuals in the town. Head of the Corby office, Ika Částka, who is Co-Chair of Corby Business Group, a governor at high performing Corby School Brooke Weston Academy, and who was herself educated in the town, says “this is great news for Corby, a town which has seen fantastic growth and revitalisation over recent years”.
