Family Law and Childcare Law – Differences When Referring To Adoption
The firm is not currently offering legal aid work.
If you have an ongoing case with the firm then your certificate will remain in place, and you do not need to worry. However, if you would like to speak to one of the team about this then please call 01604 876697. Thank you.
The following is for reference only, to provide a resource for those looking for further information. As said above, we are currently unable to take on new Legal Aid cases.
Within the Family Law Team and the Childcare Team, we offer expert advice in 2 similar but distinctly separate areas:
Our Family Law Team deals with all things relating to relationships, whether it concerns children, finances, assets or the actual process of separation and divorce,
…whereas the Childcare Team specialises in issues relating to Social Services interventions.
Where adoption is concerned, it is important to understand that this is not a single area. We deal with adoption proceedings in relation to Social Services which is not the same as a private adoption. Our specialist team provides advice on helping to prevent your child from being placed into foster care or from being adopted.
The Family Law team at Wilson Browne is one of the most established teams in the area and can meet you at any of our offices in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire including Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Higham Ferrers, Wellingborough, and Leicester.
Family Law: if you are looking to divorce or separate you’ll find our Family Law solicitors ready to listen and support you alongside the practical legal advice you’re seeking.
Regrettably, there is no Legal Aid for divorce cases but we do offer a range of fixed fees.
We cover everything from divorce, to finances on separation, disputes regarding the family home and assets, prenups and postnups, children (issues around residency / custody) and mediation.
Our Family Law solicitors can help you plan to protect your assets at the start of a relationship and give you clear advice if your relationship breaks down, whether that be about children, finances, property or getting a divorce. We know how important it is to make the right decisions about your future and we are here to help you from the start. We also have a qualified Mediator on hand should that be the route you choose.
