ICT Assistant- Northampton
We are looking for an ICT Helpdesk Assistant to join our ICT team in Grange Park, Northampton on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is pivotal to our success and ongoing growth plans and is ideal for someone with a background in IT and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to our staff members, both remotely and on-site across our 6 offices in Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Higham Ferrers, Wellingborough and Leicester.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
- Set up, configure, repair and install hardware, software, and other related equipment.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and solutions.
- Provide technical support for staff members with IT-related issues.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for system and process improvements.
- Assist the ICT Systems Trainer in the creation of training materials including presentations, tutorials, videos, and hands-on exercises.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technologies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a helpdesk or technical support role supporting Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Office 365 would be preferred.
- Familiarity with IT hardware and software.
- Able to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organisation skills.
- Proficiency in supporting Office 365 applications (User, Groups, Azure AD, and MFA) would be preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle, as there will be a need to travel to our other sites in Northamptonshire and Leicester when required
Receptionist (Part-time) Wellingborough
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist to join us on a part-time basis at our busy Wellingborough office. The pattern of hours is mornings Monday – Friday, working 8:45am- 1:15pm; totalling 22.5 hours.
Although previous receptionist/ legal office experience would be desirable, other suitable candidates will be considered as full training will be given. You will be organised, friendly and have great administrative and organisational skills. Very occasional travel to cover on reception at other Wilson Browne offices may be required, so a current clean driving licence is preferred.
Please note that due to the nature of the role, a basic DBS is required.

- Handle a busy switchboard and reception desk in a professional manner. You will be the first point of contact for calls and visitors to the office.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail for the office.
- Assist with the day-to-day administration of the office, including matters such as assisting with client hospitality and visitors to the office.
- Manage the reception area and set up meeting rooms.
- Supporting other members of the team whenever possible.
You will have great interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to confidently manage and prioritise your workload effectively.
Receptionist (Part-time) Leicester (12 month Fixed Term Contract)
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist to join us on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. This is on a part-time basis at our busy Leicester office. The pattern of hours is Wednesday 12:45pm-5pm, Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-5pm totalling 18.75 hours.
Although previous receptionist/ legal office experience would be desirable, other suitable candidates will be considered as full training will be given. You will be organised, friendly and have great administrative and organisational skills. Legal Secretary (Court of Protection) Northampton
A full-time Legal Secretary is required to support Court of Protection team at our Northampton office. The Court of Protection team make applications to Court for authority to help vulnerable or mentally incapable people manage their financial affairs in the community and in care homes and hospital settings.
You will be supporting the Court of Protection team (including Solicitors and Legal Practitioners) with their admin, organisational and audio typing tasks. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be accurate, have the ability to work as part of a team and be able to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities…
This is a full and busy role and will include the following:
- Preparing correspondence and documents through audio-typing and drafting documents;
- Preparing bills and finances;
- Submitting applications and registrations;
- Administering filing- including daily post;
- Task specific jobs including making phone calls;
- Filing paperwork and electronic applications and registrations.
Requirements
You will provide full support maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and presentation to ensure a first-class service is provided to our clients. Although previous experience in these areas of work would be desirable, other suitable candidates will be considered as full training will be given.
We are looking for a team player with excellent client care skills, an abundance of common sense and empathy. A strong team ethic, attention to detail and a passion for working with others is essential!
