Our commercial law offering is both diverse and strong. We cover most areas of commercial law including Company &Commercial (often called “CoCo”), Commercial Litigation, Commercial Property and Employment. Within those broad heading lies a range of solutions.

Corporate Commercial Associate Solicitor/ Junior Partner- Northampton
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor or Junior Partner to join our Corporate Commercial Team in Northampton.
Wilson Browne is the largest commercial law team in Northamptonshire – recognised by the Legal 500, Lexcel Accredited, and winner of numerous awards. It may come as a shock, but there is an active Company & Commercial market outside of the big cities – this region is thriving and with that, comes great opportunity for ambitious lawyers.
Our growing team works with local, regional and national clients; supporting them with all aspects of their business. We’re looking for someone with a broad understanding of the commercial and legal needs of corporate clients and experience in advising on: corporate structures; acquisition and growth strategies; succession planning; mergers and joint ventures; restructures and demergers; commercial contracts; and corporate governance. You will have entrepreneurial instincts and spirit and be used to collaborating closely with colleagues across a range of disciplines, clients and other firms and advisers. You will be well connected professionally and adept at networking and driving business development.
Responsibilities:
You will be advising on the following:
- Mergers, Acquisitions & Disposals
- Succession Planning
- Employee Share Schemes including EMIs, EBTs and EOTs
- Restructuring and Demergers
- Finance Documents
- Governance Documents including Shareholders Agreements, Articles of Association and Partnership Agreements
- Commercial Contracts
- Franchising
- …drafting, advising, negotiating, dealmaking…

Ideally you will have 8 years + PQE and a good range of experience, and be excited to join a growing Corporate Commercial Team that has a great flow of work already, and more to come.
If you’ve got this far in your career you are no doubt a confident communicator: persuasive, articulate, and friendly with a good sense of humour…and a hunger to get deals done (as well as having good drafting and analytical skills).
