Jemma Izzard – Childcare Team, Reaccredited To The Children Panel.

The Childcare Team at Wilson Browne Solicitors is delighted to say that Jemma Izzard has been reaccredited to the children panel.

The children panel is a panel of solicitors who are judged to be experts in their field.

A rigorous process is followed to ensure only solicitors with the requisite knowledge skills and experience are appointed.  Those solicitors are able to represent children within care proceedings.  Any panel solicitor must be vetted every three yearsand undergo further testing to remain on the panel.

Jemma represents both children and parents and/or other family members in public law proceedings, which occur when the local authority has become so concerned about the welfare of a child, they issue court proceedings to ask the court to consider the future living arrangements for them and whether they can continue to live with their parents.

Her work also includes representation of parents and/or family members in adoption and special guardianship cases, and representation of children in private law proceedings (disputes between family members without the involvement of the local authority) where children are made parties to the case due to the level of complexity.
